I guess it must just be me as plenty of people seem happy with both Razor and Dolby virtual surround. I get the impression it's trying to expand all the sounds into a 3D space and in doing so it makes everything a bit of a mush with no space between the sounds, making it harder for me to place them. I seem to be able to get more sense of direction (on my headphones) with it disabled. I was hoping the Dolby Virtualiser would work better for me than Razer Surround but unfortunately it doesn't. I'll have to double-check with my friends on Teamspeak though, as I might be getting misled by a louder output from my soundcard. Before I had to use Mic Boost 30db with the volume on about 70 but now 10db and 90 seems to give a good level with less hiss. They seem to have boosted my Mic input as well as any improvements they've made to the output. I take no responsibility for any damage caused by technical error, user inexperience or stupidity. #Install dolby advanced audio driver drivers#Once again I'd like to thank for providing the files and for pointing out the flaw in the drivers INF for IDT's device ID.ĭISCLAIMER: Perform this modification at your own risk. #Install dolby advanced audio driver install#You should now have Dolby effects working on your speaker device!
